Emoji Challenge Project
You will create your own emoji story. You will have to create a minimum of 3 emoji that when put together tell a story or say a phrase. Challenge yourself to include gradients, feathering, or transparency. Your emojis should have lots of different shapes. You CANNOT use an emoji that already exists. Must be school appropriate. You must include the following:

Polygon Animal Project
Create a Colorful Polygonal Animal by selecting an image of animal online and then using polygonal shapes and triangles to design a colorful animal shape recreation Challenge yourself to include gradients, feathering, or transparency. See the examples here for ideas. Your image size is 800 width and 600 height.
Save your completed graphic as a AI (Illustrator file) and then export as a max quality JPEG file. Label it as lastname+firstname+animal and save in your Illustrator folder. Submit only the JPEG file to Google Drive.

Smiley Face Activity
Produce a professional “Have a Nice Day” Smiley that has some sort of theme. Challenge yourself to include gradients, feathering, or transparency. Your smiley should have lots of shapes. You must also add a slogan to your smiley with an appropriate font. The slogan should be a variation on the “Have a Nice Day” slogan, based on your theme. The font should match your theme and still be readable.
You will be graded on a difficulty rating based on your Illustrator technique and attention to detail as well as your creativity; view smiley face project rubric document. See the examples in file to the left, as well as, the instructions to set up your canvas. Your image size is 800 points width and 600 points height. Save your completed graphic as Adobe Illustrator (.AI) file type and then export (File>Export) as a PNG file. Label it as lastname+firstname+smiley and save the PNG file only to Google Drive. |

Realistic Fruit
For this activity, you will choose a piece of fruit found here to redraw using Illustrator and a Gradient Mesh. Your goal is to create a piece of fruit that looks so realistic, someone would think it is a photograph. You will use the image below to help you with the shapes and colors you will need. Start by creating a artboard and drag your source image onto your artboard.
